01 / OVERVIEW
Overview
Serein focuses on ingesting, unpacking, remuxing, distributing, and recording media. Unified media frames and MediaStreamHub connect RTSP / RTP inputs to RTSP, HTTP-FLV, WebSocket-FLV, and file outputs, with managed .NET code and ASP.NET Core integration. The video pipeline primarily handles packaging and forwarding.

03 / POSSIBILITIES
Ideas to explore
- Explore RTSP ingestion and multi-subscriber distribution in .NET services
- Build HTTP-FLV / WebSocket-FLV playback and recording experiments
- Study RTP / PS processing, resampling, and media-status events
04 / GET STARTED
Getting started
Before you begin
- A .NET 10 SDK or matching application runtime
- An accessible RTSP source, or start with the no-source example
- Verify that your required output protocol is supported
Get the project
dotnet add package Serein.AspNetCore --prereleaseNext steps
- Install the ASP.NET Core integration package or build the source examples.
- Run the sample service and inspect its read-only status API.
- Configure your media source locally and validate distribution and recording.
05 / SCOPE & STATUS
Current boundaries
A preview focused on unpacking and forwarding video, not general video transcoding. HLS and WebRTC output are not implemented.
